I wonder if anyone might happen to know what is the problem with
my tape drive, which appears to work to all intents and
purposes, autoloading and rewinding etc. but whenever
I try to format the tapes or write anything, I get a "tape
write protected" error. I have tried about a dozen different
tapes, new and old, with the same result every time. Could
it be a problem with the sensor in the drive?

Best wishes,

Ian

I have a working tape drive! :-) It's one of the 60MB versions.
