I have found the composite output from my BBC B's to be very poor
compared to the RGB output. I currently use a "logic 3" box from Maplin
to abuse a flat screen monitor, and have found it completely
unsatisfactory. It converts using composite like the gadget Neil
mentions although his finding is hopefully better. It can't be any
worse! Using the "logic 3", I get frequent screen jumps in a smog filled
mode 7, and hazy 80 character modes are very hard on the eyes indeed!

Do you think that better results could be achieved if the RGB from the
beeb could be converted up as RGB rather than encoding it to comp, and
decoding back to RGB? Does anyone know of a reasonably priced device
that can up-convert RGB to RGB? Or a circuit diagram for one
perhaps????? I suppose another option would be to have a device that
created a more stable composite output from the beebs RGB, but I'd
rather the first option if I get the choice. The Master seems to have a
far more stable comp output. I wonder why?

Cheers,

Mick
