I'm sure I've seen this done, and I thought I had the program, but
on finding it it turns out to make the sound of a phone ringing,
not dailing!

I can sell you a replacement dial mechanism. I used to collect
telephone and I have quite a few in the basement. A tenner
including postage within the EU should cover it.
