Maybe I'm a clueless newbie, but I thought ADFS has a built-in command for 
formatting disks? At least my Master Compact does, *FORMAT or so. It lets 
you choose S, M or L. I'm aware on earlier DFS:es a such command may not be 
available.

Otherwise, I believe Omniflop (or Omnidisk if you run DOS) should be able to 
format disks. I didn't realize that ADFS Explorer can write disks, I thought 
it was only for managing disk images.
