Subject: Watford Electronics Adder Eprom Programmer

The version of Level 3 FS I use (which reports itself as
"Acorn File Server Level 3 Version 0.92 Pre-Release IV.05")
which I think has the JGH date-fix applied, will run on a
BBC B with 6502 cheese wedge as well as a Master 128
with either 6502 cheese wedge or 65C102 internal co-pro.

I almost persuaded it to run on an Archimedes running
!6502Tube once. Interestingly, it came up with "Winchester
File Server" then crashed!

Best wishes,

Ian

What's the difference between a Master Turbo and an internal
65c102 CoPro? I thought that inserting the CoPro made it a Turbo.

Anyway, as far as software running on a 6502 CoPro knows, it is
running on a 6502 in 64K of RAM. The Level3FS should run on the
internal CoPro. The question should really be whether the Level3FS
will run on a /Master/. Unless it makes inappropriate hardware
assumptions - hard to do from the other side of the Tube - it
should run. I'm sure I saw a Master running the Level3FS when I
was in Hong Kong.
