I've got a couple of machines with SideWise boards in. If I remember
correctly they allow you to use all the available ROM slots (12?),
although one position has two sockets for a couple of 8K RAM chips.

Some of the things on the board are optional, such as adding a switch
to write-protect the RAM. I think there's also a place for a battery
to back up the RAM.
