(Jonathan Graham Harston) Subject: Converting numeric representations What's the process of converting a floating point value to it's integer representation (eg converting 0.5x2^5 to 16) called, and the reverse process (eg converting 16 to 0.5x2^5)? The verb "normalisation" comes to mind, but I'm not sure I'm using it in the right way. -- J.G.Harston - jgh@... - mdfs.net/User/JGH There are three food groups: brown, green and ice cream.
