On and off I've been scanning and OCRing Micro User listings.
Somewhere on my site is a corrected version of the Chameleon
24-bit colour add-on.

Why? It's still BBC BASIC, it still has GOTO, it still uses line
numbers internally. A more accurate statement would be something
like Iyonix not happy with program using BBC-specific assumptions.
