If you have a GoMMC, there is a patched OS ROM available which diverts
all the tape loading commands to a UEF image on the MMC card. You can
"switch tapes" and "rewind" using some ROM commands provided.
This does however require you to have the ability to create a new OS
ROM, which I'm told is harder than normal ROMs.
That said - is there much tape software in existence which hasn't
already been converted to disk?
