Subject: BBC Micro CD-ROM?

Not that this question has any practical purpose, but...

Has anyone ever successfully hooked up a CD-ROM drive to a BBC Micro,  
or Master?

Me and a friend are arguing over whether it would even be possible.  
Presumably you'd need a new FS ROM. Is 16K enough to write a CD-ROM  
driver?

Storing tapes on audio CDs doesn't count. :)
