Now my site is back online I've been able to fetch the logs.
Normally, my log files are about 100K compressed, 700K uncompressed
per day. On 10th April the logfile was 1100K compressed, 22M!!!
uncompressed.
 
Scanning through it, as well as the usual accesses from
search.msn.com every two or three minutes and the occasional
googlebot.com somebody@...
has been accessing the site four times a second all day. No wonder
the bandwidth was swamped.

Youth has now fled. Their best years have been passed in the service
of the party. They are ageing and their ideals have also passed,
dispersed by the contrarities of daily struggles.
