A 5.25" 720K? Bit of a rare beast AIUI.

It should work fine, but you're going to need a datasheet to find out what the 
jumpers do.

By pressing on the pins, you may well have put them under enough mechanical 
stress to "make" the connection.

I'd still resolder them. Moving the power connector making the drive work 
still points to a dead solder joint.

It's possible, but unlikely.
