I nearly fell into this trap recently, nearly fitting a 0.22uF
capacitor because it was the closest I could find with that pin
spacing. Someone on here with much greater knowledge of electronics
pointed out that it needs to be the same value in this case, or it
won't do the job properly. Fortunately I then noticed the second set
of pin holes and fitted a correct part with the smaller spacing. I've
bent the legs outwards when fitting these things to various other
devices though - the RIFA brand ones have nice long legs, but the WIMA
ones don't.
Hopefully the jammed disk drive will just be a simple mechanical fault
with the load/eject mechanism.
