Subject: BBC B keyboard

Hello,
I am trying to fix a faulty BBC micro keyboard but have hit a small problem.

The keyboard does not produce any text when the keys are pressed, I have
changed the ribbon connector and checked for dry joints. The machine which
they keyboard originally came from now has a replacement keyboard fitted
and is working fine.

The keyboard is an issue 2 type and has a black metallic backing plate between
the keys and front side of the circuit board. This prevents me from gaining
access to the IC chips for replacement.

I have removed the key caps to see if they where any mounting screw or anything
that will allow me to remove the backing plate but unfortunately there are not.

Does anyone know a way of removing this black metallic plate?

Thanks
Chris?
