I saw this a couple of weeks ago too.
I don't suppose that you (or anyone else) knows if a copy of the files
relating to this are available on-line anywhere?
I guess the other thing is it doesn't say how long after 1990 the
commands will work - there was another Econet date roll-over at the end
of 1996, and it may be that even these improved versions of *DATE only
worked until 1996.
