Subject: Mailing list
All,
I don't know whether anyone has tried bringing this latest thread to
James' attention but I'll send him a private mail and politely ask
whether he'd be willing to respond to the list, either with news of
the config change or his reasons as to why he doesn't want to consider
it at this time.
In the meantime, whilst I'm pursuing that, I guess the only real
question that needs to be answered by the regulars here is this:
If we can't get hold of him, do enough of you feel strongly enough
about the email header issue, and the other concerns that Michael has
raised about the list being maintained by someone who appears not to
be a regular contributor to the list - and is also apparently hard to
get hold of privately - to want to migrate to a new list?
If most regulars answer no, then I think we should stop the debate
here just carry on as-is, perhaps with more occasional direct mail
pleas to James ...
Peter.
