Subject: Re-using floppies

Hi all,

I did the flippy thing early on with my Tandy Colour Computer, back when I
only had a single-sided drive for it.

I bought a single-hole paper punch; ground down the lower jaw a bit, and
smoothed it carefully. That served as the hole maker.

I then used another disc to mark where the index holes in the disc should be
using a pencil, and carefully punched that location on both sides of the
jacket, taking care not to scratch the disc surface. I usually used a piece
of paper between the jaw and the disc to prevent accidents.

I cut the WP hole with the same punch, usually taking two cuts to get the
size right.

Hope that helps,
Regards, Bob Devries
