Better to get it repaired - I'm of the opinion that there's only a
finite amount of BBC power supplies in existence, and replacing one
for the sake of the pair of blown filter capacitors is like scrapping
a car because the ashtray's full. You'll probably find that the
machine still works fine, although there'll be an odd smell from the
goo that comes out.

I'd be happy to repair one for the price of parts and postage - the
parts are a couple of quid, I'd guess postage both ways might be about
a tenner in total.

Unlikely - I've had *loads* of these blow on everything from Beebs and
Apple IIs to a Sharp portable video battery charger, and they've never
taken anything else out. And every device has continued working
afterwards - the capacitors that blow are there to filter noise out,
and aren't actually required for the unit to function.
