Subject: Testing homemade Master battery pack
I once did four in one go when someone off this list gave me five
Masters with damaged keyboards (one became the keyswitch donor, so
didn't get a battery pack).
I dismantled the Acorn packs, laying everything out in the same
positions on the table. Then I soldered in new AA cells using the old
wiring, and wrapped them up with insulating tape. They were a bit of
tight fit because of this, but I knew they'd work because I put them
together in the same way I'd taken them apart.
I later noticed that the 'spares' Master had a nice holder for the
cells rather than a shrink-wrapped pack - it's still sitting there
unused.
