As far as *I* am concerned, as the original author of that bit of
code, you are free to copy the code and do what you want with it. I
can't comment for the mods and fixes Mike did to it, but I don't
imagine there would really be a problem. I usually release standalone
stuff under the FreeBSD licence, which pretty much allows you to do
what you want with it while I retain copyright, however as the econet
code was contributed to BeebEm I guess it'd take somebody who
understands the GPL licences to rule on that. However I'm sure Mike
wouldn't mind..

I'm pretty sure VB has it's equivalent functions - if not, most are a
doddle to code up. I wrote a clone of a MMORG in VB5 back in the mid
1990s which had to deal with all sorts of weirdness.. (because I was
talking to the existing clients!)
Why not write it in bb4w ? Now that would be appropriate.. :-)
