Seriously - IE8 is sooooo slow.

At least he stands less chance of being pwned, now he is using an OS
that is actually still in support cycle. Now we ought to work on
filtering unwanted inlines (Flash, etc).
What's better, a slower computer, or one you have to reinstall once you
discover it's been sending your credit card info to Thailand and your
forum/eBay/Amazon/etc passwords to Lithuania...
Trust me - once you block all the advertising and crappy scripting
pulled in from other places, the web is suddenly a much more happening
place. The information you're looking for appears, without the
requirement of a few hundred Kb of advertising along with the latency of
looking up, then connecting to, multiple servers.
