Yep, various speeds in combinations up to 1200 baud.

They certainly look like they were.  Mine also have a definitely
hand-made (by me!) auto-answer board inside.  Half a dozen discretes
on a bit of veroboard that plugs into internal headers.

They appear to be a straight copy of another modem of the time, a
"kirk" modem I think it is - got one but it's in the box as it's not
working.

Apparently it is .... but that's another story, one for a
