That is indeed true for the Master Compact MOS (5.0, 5.1), but I think 
the OP was talking about the Master ET MOS (4.0), which will work on a 
standard master board and vice versa.

Though there is a link that needs to be changed, dependent on what size 
ROM you are using. Though annoyingly it's a 3 pin line, and the outer 
two pins need to be linked in one of the configs.
