Commiserations. Although many may feel it a lucky escape.
I think you might have fallen into the "knows too much" category.
After all, we can't have Dixons staff suddenly gaining the reputation
that they actually know something, can we?

Ah yes... I decommissioned one of those once... turned out to be a
rack with lots of blanking plates, a UPS sat in the bottom and a
rack-mount 486 in the top! Most of the PCs being used as terminals to
the multi-user OS on it were of a higher spec by then!
