I could recommend some rather high priced solicitors in Manchester

It still is!  Had to re-load the wife's laptop a few months back
because they wouldn't believe it really had an overheat problem and
issue me with a warranty repair authorisation until I had done so.
Grrrr....

Last time I looked they only had reams of dead end jobs with nothing
above minimum wage.  I'd suggest registering with all the IT agencies
you can find; get enough keywords in your CV and they'll eventually
suggest relevant jobs ..

(Had one call a few months ago, a mere ten years after I sent them my
CV.  Must have been scraping the barrel to call me, but they were
after someone with knowledge of a rather esoteric programming language
that I actually knew.  Pity I wasn't in a position to take them up on
it, might have been able to name my price!)
