If you were in Australia I would say are you on linkme.com.au, only
because that's where I work...

Definitely look for equivalent on line resume database / job board
services.  Or LinkedIn at least.  Many of the employers and recruiters
we sell access to our members resumes db say they use LinkedIn and
linkme and other such sites as the first point of call to fill roles.

It still is!  Had to re-load the wife's laptop a few months back because
they wouldn't believe it really had an overheat problem and issue me
with a warranty repair authorisation until I had done so.
Grrrr....

Last time I looked they only had reams of dead end jobs with nothing
above minimum wage.  I'd suggest registering with all the IT agencies
you can find; get enough keywords in your CV and they'll eventually
suggest relevant jobs ..

(Had one call a few months ago, a mere ten years after I sent them my
CV.  Must have been scraping the barrel to call me, but they were after
someone with knowledge of a rather esoteric programming language that I
actually knew.  Pity I wasn't in a position to take them up on it, might
have been able to name my price!)
