Subject: Morley teletext adapter anyone?

This is exactly what I will miss, Ceefax and the chance ever to use a teletext
adapter with my BBC.? I also think the digital TV allows broadcasters more
technical control and monitoring on our viewing, something almost impossible
with analogue.? If ever I emigrate I hope that nation's still got analogue
as I'm sure they also have been using the BBC's.

Yes, digital teletext is a poor replacement for the quick flick analogue.

In the long run, the only digital TV I wanna watch is off the Web, that's
enough for me if i wanna do more than TV and text.

Fiaz.

Back on topic, our switch over is in September and the only thing I'm going
to miss is my Teletext. We went digital years ago with Cable TV and everything
about the picture quality (on the channels we use) appears?perceptibly?better
than the analogue channels* and the quality of HD transmissions with full
surround is just superb...??The *only* thing that is worse IMO about the
digital service is the digital interactive teletext replacement system.
* I don't watch the super compressed channels, they irritate me too much.
Besides I've got better things to do than watch sub-VHS quality repeats of
programmes I didn't want to watch the first time round.
