How about a hand vacuum, would it fit and serve its purpose? Perhaps even a 
standard vacuum. Your office must be sparsely populated if you would be able 
to use the duster at all, static electricity or not. I know how my own desks 
and apartment looks like. Usually you can't even see which colour the desk 
is due to all the stuff on top of it. Floors are a little better, but not by 
much.

(And yes, I live by myself)
