Which CP/M disks? There's no such thing as "a" CP/M disk, each CP/M 
machine used it's own format, it was the job of the machine-dependant 
BIOS to interface the machine-independent BDOS to the machine hardware.

Other than the 8" IBM format disks used on the default BIOS supplied 
for OEMs or users to customise to their own hardware. And yes, the BBC 
can read 26 sectors of 128-byte single density sectors.
