Yup, that sounds like the Brother laser I used to maintain. If the feed 
mechanism is not too worn, roughing it up slightly with some fine black 
sandpaper might eke out some more service, if you don't feel like messing
around inside too much. You might be able to find a replacement on ebay?
Might be more reliable than superglue and beermats. ;-)
