Subject: Compromises

I would think they didn?t change the output of the Master because of the 
BBCs position in Schools. It was meant to be a replacement for the Model
B, and changing the video output to analog would have meant creating a large
hillock of redundant TTL only CUBs that were already in place, increasing
the upgrade cost even further.

When I first got my hands on a BBC Master I remember being disappointed that
it did not have a larger palette than the BBC B, nor 40k video modes come
to that. 16 colour Mode 1 had to wait for the Arch.
