Yes it is. Econet works wonderfully on a LAN, quite happy to talk to e.g.
a L4 fileserver on an A5000.. I have not properly tried it over the wider
Internet - it might work but with timing issues.

It's possible to redirect the serial ports to IP - using "tcpser" it will
accept incoming telnet connections as if they were incoming modems. I have
successfully run my BBS doing this. This is my aim - to be able to run
multiple copies on a single host, talking Econet to a server, to re-create
my old viewdata BBS entirely in software.
