Yes, Econet packets get encapsulated in a USER DP IP packet, see 
http://beebwiki.mdfs.net/Econet_over_IP

I did some work on IDE drives which got included in v4.13 back in 2011. 
I was planning on updating it (and SCSI support) so the paths weren't 
hard coded as it makes it really fiddly to swap virtual drives. I notice 
the latest source is 4.14 so I'll update my local files.
