An intro to the Z-System, comparing it to CP/M, is in the file
ZWORD3.TXT in PD:<ZSYS.DOC>.  PD:<ZSYS> contains ZCPR3, its utilities, etc,
in both source and object.  It is on SIMTEL20, so Archive Server is
available if you cannot FTP.
