Hi Frankie!

I won't be able to help you directly, as I have no experience with BBC
Master micros, and can't find any relevant docs on them.  (I'm assuming
it's a Master that your friend has.)  I'm sending a copy of this mail to
the fine chaps on the BBC micro mailing list.  I'm sure somebody there
can tell you how to set the real time clock (RTC).

The behaviour you're seeing could be related to the problem mentioned
at: http://www.argonet.co.uk/users/rjsprowson/bbc/doomsday.htm
It's about a Y2K-bug present in all BBC micros, and a replacement ROM
that fixes it.  It doesn't sound like you'll need that, though.
