I currently purchased a floppy drive and have I few questions that I hope
someone on this list could please help me answer.

Assuming you are using DFS, the command will be *FORM 40 (to format the disk
with 40 tracks) or *FORM 80 (to format it with 80 tracks)

There's no real reason you'd want to use 40 tracks, so *FORM 80 then select
drive 0.

> 2. What is the command to see a disk's dir?

*CAT (will CATalogue the disk)

> 3. I keep getting " Disk Fault 18 at :0 01/00" whats that all about?

Not sure about the specific fault (18) but the disk probably isn't
formatted, or is damaged.
