There's an easy way to tell. Run the Watford Diagnostics on the B+
Basic ROM - if the CRC produced is &EC08, this is the exact same BASIC
II ROM as in the B.

To be honest, I always thought that BASIC III was HiBASIC (i.e. 6502
second processor BASIC) and that Acorn simply jumped version to BASIC IV
when they introduced the Master.
