With apologies for following-up the same post again, I forgot to mention that 
this isn't strictly true - 1.44MB HD 3.5" disks *can* be used with a BBC, and I 
frequently use them thus, and so far I've not experienced any trouble at all 
with them.

5.25" disks are different, and I have found that the HD variety of these will 
not work at all.
