I agree, flying off the handle like that is only going to get peoples backs
up. Such a shame that folks don't read the e-mails they send. Perhaps there
should be a "cooling-off" period for e-mail, once it's sent, it's too late.
You can see why politicians don't like e-mail, they always get bitten on the
a**s sooner or later by someone quoting a snippet of an e-mail, also likely
to be taken out of context.
Regarding spam, *come on*, unless you've just started using e-mail in the
last few days, you'll be getting spam. Get a filter and get over it, period.
On the Archimedes front, I've got a A540 and have been flamed for asking a
simple question, so I don't bother asking anymore, I just leave it shivering
in the dark, cold and dusty understairs cupboard... (the place where the
monsters lurk)
Regarding the videos, many thanks to Dave Moore for uploading them. I would
have liked to get hold of the BBC globe demo, that looks cool. I had no
problem downloading the videos, I'm on 10Mbps ntl (that usually is a
hinderance) and managed to download at over 1Mbyte/s from the Filecoast
server.
I find it depressing that a flame war starts based upon who is the
"technical god" and who is the "not so bright, but has an opinion based on
the facts at hand" that results in e-rage, swearing and the loss of a member
of the community !?!
If I could summon the combined chi... I would wish for an analogue RGB
module (goodbye to flashing colours), then an off board (1MHz bus) SVGA
board, or even a 20MHz 65C102 2nd Processor board...
How do I arrange my Acorn (and non-Acorn) kit to get best chi ?
Dave ;)
