The 6522s are normally socketed on a Beeb, and I think they are on a 
Master 128 as well, though it's a long time since I looked.   However, 
they don't have anything to do with the disk drives.  The 8271 is the 
floppy controller, or a 1770/1772 on a Master, and there are some other 
TTL and LSTTL chips associated with the interface.
