Really? Perhaps it depends how much you like to pay, but there is a UK 
seller on eBay selling second hand 27128 EPROMs at ?1.50 each (currently 
?1.20 as he has a sale). I've bought from him and he's reliable beyond 
belief, even supplying free extra items due to me being uncertain about 
something. Of course it requires you to have an EPROM eraser or at least a 
UV light but that is always handy to have if you're going to program those 
chips.
