No reason. It's not really an issue which one is put in
the ROM.

There's also the MOS 3.50 version. Are they one and the
same ? I never used any version of Hi-BASIC on the Master,
I just fire up Elite very occasionally.

No, most likely because I'm not asking. They said they'd
inform me.
