Subject: Retro Software: first release - Zap!
Well, this topic ran and ran ...
Apologies for not getting back sooner, but glad to hear there's been
interest enough to generate such a discussion!
There's been lots of great ideas and we have read through all of them.
We're still aways a way from getting an online shop up and running,
but it'll arrive eventually and will have a full download option to
replace the request-by-email image which is currently available. The
CD materials have also been delivered, so both those options should be
available soon too. Full ordering links and general pricing info
available here:

There was at least one post from someone suggesting they were waiting
for a download-only option. That may be a while while we work with
our hosting provider on setting up a secure environment; I'm not
really sure if there was an expectation of something different but the
eventual download option will be no different to the disc images which
are already available by email on request.
Please bear in mind that this is the first Retro Software release,
which is why the timescales for the formats have been a bit staggered.
Be assured, though, there's been no compromise on the quality of the
release itself - everyone just wanted to get it out there, as soon as
it was ready. We'll adhere more to a launch schedule with later
titles, having done most of this production pre-work for Zap!.
Oh, and for those who have bought the game, there's a high score topic
in the Zap! forum on the RS site. Noone's yet managed to beat the
champion score set on the first day of the Byte Back competition last
March ... !
Peter.
