Subject: FileStore battery

I don't think you can use a Master battery pack in a FileStore, I think it's
a little cell which is soldered in place.

The E60S certainly seems to be the rarest. It's the only one missing from
my collection.

There are "BBC" and "Communicator" varieties as well - the BBC ones are
the usual Beeb yellow colour, the Communicator ones are greyish, but
apart from that they are all identical.

I don't think they moved the air vents, it's probably the lid on the wrong
way round. I've done that with all kinds of things - FileStores, A4000s,
MDFSes, etc. Haven't managed to do it with a BBC micro yet though!

Best wishes,

Ian

Hmm... I guess I'm going to need to know the same thing, when I get
around to opening up the E01..

I think Rick Murray might have one -

I've never heard of another surviving..

If they really do issue serial numbers in order... I've now got the
8th E01 ! And either they changed the design of the cases between 8 &
84, or someone disassembled both the E01 & E20 on one set and put the
lids on back to front on both, as the vent slots have moved..
