If you are up to spending a bit of money and like soldering, you could
have a look at the brand new cartridge Final Expansion 3. It has 512K RAM,
512K Flash plus a SD memory card reader. It means it will fulfil all your
memory expansion requirements, you can store your favorite programs on
the built-in Flash memory as well as use the SD for transfers and extend
the drive.

It costs 49 Euros for a bare board plus 20 Euros if you want a custom
made shell. Shipping is another 7.55 Euros. However it comes in kit form
due to German (EU ?) laws which makes it too difficult and expensive to
sell ready-made electronics devices. Perhaps 76,55 Euros is a bit too
much money for something you really don't need, but if you want to keep
the VIC-20 and get the ultimate use from it, it is a good price. Indeed
you can pick up a 16K RAM expansion on eBay for far less, but you also
only get a fraction of the functionality.

Best regards
