I specifically designed the IDE interface so that it could be built
by anybody else, or adapted and incorportaed into another design. I
prefer to be actually using the hardware, not messing about bulding
it (I'm still trying to get my LCD interface that I had working in
1992 working again).

I am grateful that somebody like Mark can take my working proofs
and incorporate them into professional products. John is
effectively working as a combination Me+Mark. Either method is
acceptable.

Our chief weapons are 'who', 'ps -aux', 'kill -9', and a fanatical
devotion to 'reboot -q'.
