Odd, worked fine on my RPC, A5000, etc. It does require !SerialDev I think 
and a few other bits and bobs so possibly a missing module. No probs with 
!VHost as well. Actually, I don't see why I couldn't power it back up 
y'know.

I've used a VoIP adaptor with a Designer II modem running v23 without any 
problems, I can't remember what codec I used though.

I keep meaning to get a Viewdata BBS running on a Beeb with my old JoelBBS 
software (or even VHost) and an emulated serial port from a Linux box so 
you can telnet into it. The message base for The Rabbit Run goes back to, 
er, oh lord, probably around 1989 so may be worth a prod.
