Subject: Test - Not getting posts ....

I raised the HDMI question a while back (search group passim) and shortly
after someone was selling a kit on Ebay.

As JK had previously suggested, it was expensive. Somewhere close to ?85
from memory, but it did appear to work in the manner he recommended.

Try a google site search e.g. site:cloud9.co.uk HDMI for more information.

Kind regards

John

I can?t stand Facebook and would far rather keep up with a list like this.
It amuses me just how much perfectly good technology is binned off when
it still has a useful role. Anyway ? I don?t want to move us on to another
thread.

Does anyone know if it?s possible to buy a ?future proofed? BBC Model B.
I know Retroclinic have sorted the problem of magnetic media with CFHD
and transfer with Datacentre but has anyone built in an HDMI port. The
closest I?ve seen is the CJE Micros SCART-HDMI box with a standard RGB to
SCART. Works well enough but wouldn?t it be nice to see an HDMI port on
the back of the beeb?

Are there any other things in a Model B that need future proofing? Sound
through HDMI for instance? An Ethernet port instead of Econet would be
good too.

Cheers

The more technically active community is on the StarDot forum. There're generally
a number of things in development and threads don't get lost like they do
on Facebook...

It's all a bit quiet for these mailing lists these days, Facebook groups
are taking over. However, my feeling is we have a hard-core bunch of specialists
on this list and it still has plenty of value.

Couldn't agree more.
