Subject: Re: UnARC'ing and UUdecoding on the mainframe

There are some unix versions in 'c' source form at SIMTEL20
in the pd:<unix.*> directories.

For example
       pd:<unix.utils1>
               arc.shar1 \
               arc.shar2 | implement 'arc/unarc'
               arc.shar3 /
'shar' files are files which you can run thru 'sh' (after deleting
a few lines at the beginning, list one and it will be obvious) to
create the 'shared' files. You could seperate the files by hand
with a half-decent editor.

Other files of interest are:

       pd:<unix.arc-lbr>lar.c handles '.lbr' files
       pd:<unix.sq-usq>
               uncr231.c handles '*.?Z?' files
               usq17u.c handles '*.?Q?' files
               xusq107.c same??

As I said these are in source form for unix. Don't know how much trouble
it would be to convert to VM/CMS.

I also don't know if there is a pd:<vms.*> collection at simtel20
which may have what you want in a native form.
