I've never seen other machines do it, but all the (working) A4s I have do 
it, which tends to make me think it's a "quirk" of the system. Putting the 
Econet card in or out still does the same thing, but I haven't as yet tried 
removing the ROM with the Battery manager software in....may try that next 
time I have one open.
